Digital 919 meters
We provide calibration and repair services to a wide range of digital 919 moisture meter models.
A digital 919 moisture meter measures the dielectric constant and temperature of the grain to predict the grain moisture according to the calibration table that is loaded in the meter. If desired, you can configure the meter display the average of three tests.
If you wish to retain a permanent record of results, an RS-232 serial port provides connection to an optional external printer or computer.
Please note that grain samples colder than 11 °C and warmer than 30 °C do not provide accurate testing results. If grain is frozen, place the sample in a sealed plastic bag and allow it to warm up to at least 11 °C.
Automatic digital moisture meters
An automatic digital moisture meter has an internal scale that determines the correct sample size for the selected commodity as you pour the grain into the hopper. No external scale or thermometer are required.
To perform a moisture test:
- On the meter’s display, select the commodity you are testing.
- Pour clean grain into the hopper while watching the display as it measures the grain weight.
- Do not touch the meter while it completes the rest of the cycle. After a moment, the moisture result appears on the display.
Semi-automatic digital moisture meters
A semi-automatic moisture meter has a compact design that is lightweight and easily portable. No external thermometer is required.
To perform a moisture test:
- On the meter’s display, select the commodity you are testing.
- Use a scale to weigh the proper amount of clean grain for the commodity being tested. The amount of grain to use is conveniently available on the meter’s display.
- Release the grain sample from the dump cell to the test cell.
- Press the Measure button. After a moment, the moisture result appears on the display.
